Lippoland, through PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development Tbk. (GMTD), has once again demonstrated its commitment to making a positive contribution to society through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled Tabung Karya (Tanjung Bunga Berkarya) Vol. 4. Carrying the theme "Weaving Creativity, Creating Value", the event featured a keychain and bracelet-making workshop for mothers belonging to the Down Syndrome Children's Parents Community (KOADS), including members of Teman IWAPI.

The workshop, held at Madrid Hall, Akkarena, on Tuesday (30/6), was attended by 75 participants. Through this training, participants were equipped with the skills to assemble simple accessories like keychains and bracelets that hold both aesthetic and economic value, serving as an opportunity to boost productivity and support family finances.

The Tabung Karya program is one of GMTD’s sustainable initiatives focused on community empowerment through capacity building, creativity development, and the creation of economic opportunities. For this 4th volume, GMTD partnered with KOADS as a form of care for the community of parents raising children with Down Syndrome, equipping mothers to develop new skills applicable to daily life.

To ensure optimal training, GMTD also brought in Tangan Dia as a partner and workshop speaker. With extensive experience in handmade craft development, the team from Tangan Dia guided the participants through material introduction, basic assembly techniques, color combination selection, to the final process of creating attractive, marketable keychains and bracelets. The interactive approach enabled participants to follow each step with ease and produce their own creations.

Chief Operating Officer of GMTD, Jemmy Andreas Persang, stated that this activity is part of the company's commitment to delivering CSR programs that offer tangible and sustainable benefits to the community.

"Through Tabung Karya, we aim to provide a learning space that not only hones creativity but also opens up opportunities for participants to produce value-added work. We hope the skills acquired today can serve as a foundation to enhance family economic independence while strengthening togetherness within the community," he said.

The training atmosphere was highly interactive and filled with enthusiasm. Participants learned various basic techniques of keychain and bracelet making, from selecting materials and the assembly process to producing attractive products with commercial value.

Representing KOADS, Andi Rahmatullah expressed appreciation for the attention and support provided by GMTD through this initiative. According to him, the workshop not only provided a new experience for parents but also served as a tool to boost self-confidence, expand networks, and open creative business opportunities for community members.

"This activity is highly beneficial for us, not only in training our skills but also in providing a positive social experience and opening opportunities for us mothers to contribute to our family's economy," she expressed.

Through the execution of Tabung Karya Vol. 4, GMTD hopes to continue participating actively in building a more independent, creative, and productive society. In line with the company’s spirit of sustainability, through the Independen (Independent) pillar within the group-wide framework "Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI" (PASTI: Smart, Green, Prosperous, Resilient, Independent), GMTD will continuously present various CSR programs that deliver a positive impact for the community and environment in the Tanjung Bunga area as well as the wider Makassar City.
