LippoLand through PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk. (LPCK), the developer of the international-standard township Lippo Cikarang Cosmopolis (LCC), held a skill-building program titled “Macrame Bikin Bangga.” The initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility program under the PASTI framework (Pintar, Asri, Sejahtera, Tangguh, Independen), with a focus on the “Independen” pillar, which aims to support local economic development through practical skill enhancement.
The training was held on Saturday, 11 July 2025, at Maxxbox, Orange County, LCC, and was filled with enthusiasm and positive energy from participants. A total of 30 participants, all women who work as environmental cleaning staff in Lippo Cikarang, took part in this activity.
They received direct training from professional instructors from the Bermain Tali community, who are experienced in teaching macrame-based crafts. In an interactive and hands-on session, participants learned how to create three creative products: Pot Holder, Tumbler Holder, and Phone Bag.
The “Macrame Bikin Bangga” program aims to provide practical skills that can be turned into home-based business opportunities. Beyond enhancing creativity, the training introduces participants to the commercial potential of handcrafted products. The skills and products developed through the program are expected to enable participants to earn additional income independently, while building confidence and pride in their abilities.
President Director of LPCK, Marlo Budiman, emphasized that the program reflects the company’s real commitment to empowering the local economy.
“Macrame Bikin Bangga is not just about skills. It is about opening new opportunities for women in our surrounding communities. We want them to be proud of their work and be able to turn it into a sustainable source of additional income,” said Marlo.
