PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development Tbk (GMTD) held a thanksgiving event to commemorate its 28th anniversary, combined with celebrations for the 81st anniversary of Indonesian Independence. The event took place in an atmosphere full of togetherness, joy, and the spirit of independence, involving GMTD's management and employees.

Carrying the spirit of togetherness and sharing, the series of thanksgiving events opened with a social activity in the form of donations to 125 children from five orphanages, namely Panti Asuhan Al Iman, Rezki Amalia, Harapan Mulia, Titipan Kasih, and Murni. This assistance is part of GMTD's concern for the community as well as an expression of gratitude for the company's 28-year journey.

Jemmy Andreas Persang, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the act of giving to 125 children from five orphanages is part of the company's commitment to continuing to be present and provide benefits to the community.

"We want to make GMTD's anniversary an opportunity to share happiness. We hope the assistance provided can bring benefit and happiness to the children. We hope activities like this can continue to be carried out sustainably as part of GMTD's concern for the surrounding environment and community," said Jemmy.

The event then continued with a tumpeng-cutting ceremony as an expression of gratitude for GMTD's journey and achievements as it enters its 28th year. The moment also coincided with the birthday celebration of Mr. Jemmy Andreas Persang as GMTD's COO, making it a moment of togetherness and appreciation for the entire GMTD family.

Jemmy also stated that the celebration of GMTD's 28th anniversary, combined with the 81st anniversary of Indonesian Independence, is a momentum to strengthen gratitude, togetherness, and social awareness.

"Entering our 28th year, we are grateful for GMTD's journey, which would not have been possible without the support of all employees, business partners, the community, and stakeholders. This celebration is not just a ceremony, but a momentum to strengthen our togetherness and remember that the company's success is the result of working together," Jemmy explained.

The atmosphere grew livelier with various competitions carrying the spirit of independence and camaraderie. Among the competitions held were an independence-themed fashion show, sack races, and an eating contest. These competitions were enthusiastically joined by participants and served as a means to strengthen relationships and build a spirit of togetherness in the workplace.

After all the competitions concluded, the event continued with the announcement and presentation of prizes to the winners. The festive atmosphere continued as all participants and invited guests enjoyed a shared meal to close the series of activities.

This year's celebration of GMTD's 28th anniversary was not only a momentum to look back on the company's 28-year journey, but also an opportunity to strengthen the values of togetherness, care, and mutual cooperation.

Jemmy closed his remarks by expressing appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the company's journey over the past 28 years. "Thank you to the entire GMTD family for your dedication and hard work. Let us make this 28th year a momentum to keep growing, giving our best, and creating positive value for the company, the community, and Indonesia," Jemmy concluded.

Through this series of social activities and a celebration that was simple yet full of meaning, GMTD hopes the spirit of "Indonesia Maju, GMTD Tumbuh Bersama" ("Indonesia Advances, GMTD Grows Together") can continue to be a source of positive energy for everyone in the company in facing challenges and creating greater contributions to the community.
