LippoLand through PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development Tbk (GMTD), the developer of the integrated Tanjung Bunga Makassar area, reaffirmed its commitment to social care by organizing a corporate social responsibility program called GMTD Merangkai Harapan. The activity was held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Akkarena Beach, Makassar.
The program was carried out in collaboration with the Sambung Tangan community and involved volunteer participation from GMTD employees. It also invited 30 children with special needs from the Parents Community of Children with Down Syndrome (KOADS) as beneficiaries to enjoy an educational, joyful, and meaningful play experience.
A variety of interactive activities were presented, including roulette spin wheel games, sponge squeeze activities, painting on tote bags and caps, and a giant snakes and ladders game. These activities were designed to stimulate creativity, motor skills, and self confidence among the children.
Chief Operating Officer of GMTD, Jemmy Andreas Persang, stated that the initiative reflects GMTD’s commitment to implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles through corporate social responsibility programs under the Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI framework, which is built on five pillars: Pintar, Asri, Sejahtera, Tangguh, and Independen.
Through GMTD Merangkai Harapan, the company aims to bring happiness to children with special needs. GMTD believes that every child has equal rights to play, express themselves, and feel valued. Jemmy added that the program is expected to create beautiful and memorable experiences for the children of KOADS, while also spreading positive impact to everyone involved and opening opportunities for future collaboration in the similar activities.
The children were very enthusiastic throughout the event, as they actively participated in the educational games and received attractive prizes at the end of the session. GMTD also provided donations as a token of appreciation for the participants.
Beyond creating joyful moments, the activity served as a reminder of the importance of empathy, togetherness, and active participation from all elements of society in building hope for a better future.

Jemmy emphasized that the program represents the Pintar pillar of Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI, aiming to contribute meaningfully to surrounding communities through impactful educational activities.
