To mark National Children's Day, LippoLand, through PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development Tbk. (GMTD), developer of the Tanjung Bunga integrated area in Makassar, once again held an educational program titled "LippoLand Mengajar" at SD Inpres Barombong 2 on Monday, July 27, 2026, themed around Bullying Prevention in Elementary Schools.
The program is a manifestation of GMTD's concern for supporting the creation of a safe, comfortable, and child-friendly learning environment. Carrying the theme of bullying prevention, it was attended by 50 third-grade students and 55 fourth-grade students, who received education and motivation on the importance of mutual respect, respecting differences, and building positive friendships in the school environment.

Through interactive material delivery, the students were invited to recognize forms of bullying, understand its impact on both victims and perpetrators, and learn simple steps that can be taken to prevent bullying from occurring at school.
The LippoLand Mengajar program itself is part of GMTD's commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, specifically the Pintar (Smart) pillar, which oversees education and character development for the younger generation, under the group initiative called Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI, a program that carries the values of Pintar (Smart), Asri (Green), Sejahtera (Prosperous), Tangguh (Resilient), and Independen (Independent).
The momentum of National Children's Day serves as an important reminder for all elements of society to jointly create an environment that supports children's optimal growth and development, so that they can learn, play, and grow without fear of bullying.
In the first session, a team of 15 GMTD employees introduced the students to material aimed at building their awareness and empathy, so they could recognize bullying behavior, refuse to become perpetrators, defend friends who become victims, and help create a friendly, safe school environment. This was followed by a Q&A session that the children took part in enthusiastically.
The second session featured a "friendship web" game, in which each child would be connected by a piece of string thrown between them, accompanied by giving a compliment to the friend who received the thrown string.
The students' enthusiasm was evident throughout the program. They actively answered questions, took part in the Q&A session, and participated in various educational games with attractive prizes at the end of each session. GMTD also distributed goodie bags containing school supplies as a form of appreciation for the participants.
"We are very grateful for GMTD's presence at our school. This program provided a fun, interactive, and meaningful learning experience for the children," said Muhammad Firdaus, S.Pd., Principal of SD Inpres Barombong 2.
Meanwhile, Jemmy Andreas Persang, Chief Operating Officer of GMTD, stated that through this program, GMTD hopes the values of mutual respect, empathy, and care can be instilled from an early age, so as to create a generation with strong character that is confident and able to become agents of change in creating schools that are safe and free from bullying.
"This is part of the Pintar pillar in the Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI program. We want to make a real contribution to the surrounding community through education that has a positive impact. We believe that a more sustainable future for Indonesia begins with a young generation that is intelligent and cares about the environment," he said.
Through this program, GMTD is not only building an area, but also helping to build the character of the nation's children to be more caring, intelligent, and responsible.
